Jan Lee Ande's work focuses on the emergent paradigm— how poets contribute to new systems of meaning.
"Poems chronicle the human spirit across time and place. Poetry tracks the collective memory of our species. Weaving words together, poets explore the web of life. Weaving themselves together, they descend into the underworld. They emerge— remade and also at work remaking— self, poems, and world."
Ande earned an MFA in poetry from San Diego State University and a PhD in history of consciousness from Union Institute & University. She lives in Portland, Oregon.
